Official Cash Rate Cut In New Zealand!
The central bank slashed the official cash rate from 3 per cent to 2.5 per cent last week
in what it called an “insurance” move in case the impact from the Christchurch earthquake leads to a “severe downturn” in the New Zealand economy.
The Reserve Bank say’s the rate cut is in place until rebuilding and recovery in the broader economy showed through.
The one-off rate cut would provide some relief to borrowers.

The big weekend has arrived, 12 June 2010, the Irish rugby team are here, hope the weather improves,
we sure had rain over night, 50mm from 10pm-6am in the hills of the New Plymouth district.
The Irish team are looking for a good performance for Saturday night test with the All Blacks, to build up a good fan base in New Plymouth, before next year’s Rugby World Cup.

Shoe retailing business, 60 Devon Street owned by Kevin Hight and his wife Pam, was first called Mischief Shoes, then later LIVE FOOTAGE it has been a regular finalist and/or winner in both the Taranaki Top Shop Awards and Taranaki Business Awards.
His success has been simply that the customer comes first. But dealing with retail customers and ensuring their needs are met requires high levels of energy and creativity, and now kevin and his wife have decided that now is the time for a change, as the lease of their business premises is due. So they opted for a change, their business was up for sale, but although there was plenty of interest they couldn’t find a purchaser, as a result they are closing their business “Live Footage” in August.
