Speaking Out Helps Stop Violence!

Violence Is Not Okay
New Plymouth Police Family Violence Co-ordinator Detective Sergeant David Beattie
believes, that speaking Out Helps Stop Violence, it is a simple and effective way
of combating the growing family violence problem in the community.
(this comment was taken from the North Taranaki Midweek Dec 1 – 2010).

Domestic Violence or violence of any sort is not okay here in New Plymouth or anywhere in the world, but by keeping silent it will not make it go away, how can we help the victims, if we keep silent on the issue?.

We owe it to the community to report all violence, we have a very good organisation in Taranaki to cope with family violence, but if they do not know about it,they cannot help.

If you need help or suspect one of your friends is struggling with family violence – Ring the helpline 0800 456 450 Because family Violence it’s Not OK. Check out the website and lets fight crime together.
